2. SGA still seeks Senators in IMA, Mass Comm, and Music. Senators represent their respective academic departments and convey student recommendations for program improvements. Interviews are currently taking place, and interested students should reach out to any member of the SGA E-Board.

3. The SGA Executive Board is meeting with College President Dr. David Cohen on Friday, October 6th, to discuss student government priorities for the semester. The E-Board generally meets about once a month, and this Friday’s topics will include:

  • Possible opening of the Downbeat food service counter
  • Wi-Fi issues around campus
  • Consistency in the food service hours
  • Pep Rally, which will be on October 12th during Common Hour

4. During the Open Floor, students can voice any other concerns not discussed in the meeting’s agenda. Some issues students brought up were:

  • Adding more water fountains around campus to be more accessible to students.
  • Enhancing labels on the Upbeat menu to favor students with any diet restrictions.
  • Addressing AC issues in the residential dorms.
  • Increasing opportunities for Mass Comm to record theatre productions on multiple days instead of just one.

5. The next SGA open meeting is Thursday, November 9th, in the Downbeat during Common hour.
