Long Island High School for the Arts Shines at LIMAS
The 2024 Long Island Media Arts Show was attended by almost 600 talented high school students for a full-day conference and juried exhibition at Five Towns College on April 12th.
FTC Reporter Jeff Kramer got an inside look at one participating school, the Long Island High School for the Arts. Seven students from LIHSA were finalists in the awards presentation:
Madison Villalobos: Best In Show, Motion Art- “Crispy Celebrity” and “Flower Crime”
John Haubeil: Best In Show, Motion Art- “The Sunless Realm”
Stella Rinaudo: Excellence in Animation- “Making the Call”
Ares Moran: Excellence in Film, Non-Fiction- “The Takis Spot”
Arielle Ormen: Excellence in Film, Non-Fiction- “Just the Two of Us”
Nicholas Gregory: Excellence in Film, Narrative Film- “Carrot Chase”
Nick Miceli: Excellence in Film, Alternative “Incoherent”
