Bella Kay wows Brooklyn with her performance at Brooklyn Steel

Upcoming singer-songwriter Bella Kay gave it her all performing at Brooklyn Steel on Wed. September 16th. Fans were surprised to hear her cover “Ceilings” by Lizzie McAlpine, and were thrilled to hear Kay’s hit songs “iloveitiloveiloveit,” “Steady,” and “The Sick.”

Bella Kay grew up in Texas and later, Florida. Kay began gaining a following after releasing her song “The Sick,” which surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify alone. Ever since, Bella has continued to release hit after hit, gaining more of a fandom. In July 2025, Bella was signed to Atlantic Records, and her growth hasn’t slowed since. Many Bella Kay fans say they first heard of her on TikTok, which played a huge role in her growing success.

Fans, ranging from ages 16-30, with parents accompanying the younger attendees, lined up hours in advance to show their love and commitment to the artist and get a good view of Bella. The mostly female fanbase took pictures and bought merch as they waited for the show to start.

Fan Gianna said, “I’m really just excited to see her perform,” and “she’s genuinely such an icon, and I feel like she’s going to blow up.” The crowd’s vibe throughout the night was extremely positive.

During the show, the crowd  screamed lyrics at the top of their lungs, and during slower songs, everyone was respectful. Some people even cried during her performance of “i deserve better.”  Following the show, a fan named Samira said her favorite moment was “probably the last song when the energy went up during “iloveitiloveitiloveit,” which has been used over 725,000 times on TikTok.

Bella Kay’s fans who gathered at Brooklyn Steel were clearly excited about her newfound music career and are expecting to see more of her in the future. And the artist seems to love her fans just as much as they love her.
