The Five Towns College Student Government Association (SGA) held their first open meeting of the Spring 2024 semester on Thursday, February 15th.

The top takeaways from this month’s meeting:

1. Returning food service counter in the Downbeat

The Downbeat food service counter returning is great for students who aren’t looking to buy a whole meal from the Upbeat, but don’t want to walk from their residence hall to the Upbeat for a small snack.

2. A new water fountain in the Upbeat

The new water fountain in the Upbeat allows students to get water even after the library closes, which is helpful if the library happens to close early or even if you’re passing through the Upbeat and just want to refill your water bottle.

3. Spring Club Fair this week

Don’t forget that on Thursday, February 22nd at 12:30PM in the Upbeat is the Candy Land Club Fair. Students are welcome to check out the variety of clubs FTC has to offer and grab candy from each club table while they’re at it. Be sure to stop by and check it out!

4. Next Open Meeting

Be sure to mark your calendars for the next SGA open meeting, which is Tuesday, March 19th at 12:30PM in the Downbeat. It’s a great opportunity to find out more about what’s happening on campus and what students are doing to make each other’s time on campus as enjoyable as possible.
