LIVE BLOG: Great South Bay Music Festival Day 4
FTC Blogger Alexis Mack follows the music, fun, and behind-the-scenes action at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, NY on the festival's final day.

As the Stanton Anderson Band wraps up the action on the Five Towns College Stage, it’s the final act for the Five Towns College Audio and Mass Comm crew of students and faculty.
YES Epics and Classics featuring Jon Anderson finishes up on the Voodoo Main Stage at 8:40PM.
That’s it for Five Towns College’s live blog coverage of the 2024 Great South Bay Music Festival. It’s been a blast!

The food testers are back! Today, we are sampling empanadas from Margus Empanadas. The vendor told us they came all the way from Miami, Florida, which is a hot spot for Latin cuisine. They are $7, which is a great deal. Mike tried the spinach and cheese, and I tested the ham and cheese. Both were delicious, warm, and easy to eat while walking around at the festival.

Old friends reunite at the Great South Bay Music Festival! I ran into my high school classmate, Jonathan Gambella, as I was roaming the grounds. Jonathan is at the festival to paint a large mural that bursts with color and represents this festival. His group was here last year and was asked to return in 2024.
Jonathan has a love for graffiti and has been actively selling art since high school.

The Om-En returned to the Five Towns College Stage. The Long Island band “are spiritually connected souls sharing the positive message and energy of their original songs.” After playing some of their original hits, they revved up the crowd with a cover of the popular song, “Valerie.” The FTC Sound Stream team is currently awaiting an interview with the band.
4:30 PM
Bleeding Egos, an American Indie Rock band from Stony Brook, NY, took the Five Towns Stage, and had the crowd moving. Their music effortlessly made you nod your head or tap your foot to their rhythm. Unlike their name, the group was far from egotistical as they were happy to answer all of my questions after their appearance on the FTC Sound Stream. Bleeding Egos, who have been performing together for twenty years, love performing by the water and said, “The sound was perfect. When we have good sound, it’s easier to have a better performance.”
After my interview, Bleeding Egos did yet another interview with my classmate, Michael Johnson.
3:30 PM
Original Gossip Band opened up the final day on the Jambalaya Stage. The rock and roll band’s lead singer, Tanya, has more than 20 years of performance and studio experience. She also has a production and studio engineering background. The ensemble put on a great performance despite an initial light crowd. However, people started to pour into the park as they played their set.
Festival attendee Spencer L., liked the band’s sound, saying, “I didn’t know who this band was before today, but I like the guitar solos in their songs.” Spencer is especially looking forward to hearing the bands on the Five Towns College Stage and mentioned they are interested in attending the college after high school. It was a great opportunity to invite them to check out our setup at the Great South Bay Music Festival and come to a future Open House.
The Arts & Crafts Vendor section is also starting to fill up with people. It’s nice to shop with the Great South Bay in the background.

The weather is sunny, breezy, and 80 degrees on the final day of the Great South Bay Music Festival. The FTC Audio and Mass Comm crews are ready for a full day of live music and multimedia festival coverage. Here’s a look at the final day’s performance schedule.
