FTC Fall Club Fair offers leadership, community and fun for all creative students
Missed the club fair and want to get involved? The FTC Record has the recap.
By Isabella Escobar
Five Towns College set the stage for student involvement at the Fall Club Fair on September 26th. Music added to the lively mood with a special Live at the Upbeat Faculty showcase. Students delighted in ice cream and each club’s table offered a different sweet topping to encourage students to browse around.
Take a peek:
Assistant Dean of Campus Life, Michael Cavalli, emphasized the importance of student involvement. “The importance of the club fair is to really encourage students to maximize and get the most of their college experience. Only about 15% of your time in college is spent in the classroom and the other 85% of the time is the opportunity to engage and be a citizen who contributes to positive change at Five Towns College. Our clubs and organizations and support services departments, that are represented today provide all sorts of opportunities for student involvement.”

Music Video Club- Go Behind the Music
Rep: Lauren Marino
The Music Video Club meets on Thursdays during Common Hour. Additional meetings may occur based on projects.
“We make music videos; we take all the majors from this school, and we try to bring them together and form music videos. It’s like getting behind the scenes of a music video. We take each other’s ideas, and we build upon them, no idea is a bad idea! We can take original or cover music.”

“The objective of the club is to basically cater to all majors, have everyone have a sense of purpose. I think business is a big part of every single industry, ideally, every career. So, it gives you a sense of what to expect in the real world, starting a business, working for a business of any sort, as well as hosting all sorts of events.”
Sports Broadcasting Club- Live broadcasting on a larger scale.
Rep: Sydney Mountain, Treasurer

So really anything anybody wants to get to in the world of broadcasting, they can get first world experience in our club.”

This is a way to meet those people that may have your answer or may have the same question as you or a similar interest that you may. It’s really taking that hands-on experience that you strive for in the classroom, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge outside of the classroom.”
Volleyball Club – Indoor Sports and Fun
