Empty Sky, a band based in New York City, has taken on one of the most challenging songbooks in rock history, mastering the work of the multiple Grammy-winning legend and flamboyant superstar, Sir Elton John.

And Empty Sky has found the key that unlocks the secrets to presenting a magical performance of Elton John’s music that will inspire, uplift and entertain his legion of fans.

This show is no cheap imitation, it’s a true tribute to the great English musician who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996 for his contributions to the culture of our time.

With Billy Jon Coogan on lead vocals, piano and keyboards, the similarity is uncanny. He’s joined by Vlad Borkovski on bass, Kent Thompson on lead and rhythm guitars, and Chuck Ferruggia on drums.
As his audience knows well, Elton John’s music is technically demanding and his concerts command a lot of high energy and dazzle.

Empty Sky has devoted itself to recreating the dazzling experience, showcasing the varied talents of Elton John. They’ll hush the crowd with a daringly faithful rendition “Funeral for a Friend” and then rattle the walls by encouraging the audience to join in singing “Crocodile Rock.”
Come hear them perform the classics like “Candle in the Wind,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Elderberry Wine,” “Rocket Man,” “Burn Down the Mission,” plus “Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road” and “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.”

These musicians took the time to get them down right. This is a show for all who appreciate the artistry of rock and roll by one of its greatest creators.
