Movement, music, and energy….FTC Zumba.

Movement, music, and energy. Students at Five Towns College danced their way to fitness during a Zumba event held on Thursday, March 27th, in The Downbeat. The FTC Soundwaves organized the event to promote physical activity in an engaging and friendly atmosphere.
“I love to dance, and many people think exercising is boring or don’t want to do it. So, why not make it fun?” said student instructor Amaya Hall. “You know, do a little dancing, and we’re all very stressed out. It’s the end of the year. So, let’s do something for everyone,” she continued.
The session featured a mix of easy warmups and intense workouts. Students of all fitness levels joined in, moving to upbeat music while moving their bodies and relieving stress. The dances were set to fan-favorite songs including a warmup session to Chappell Roan’s After Midnight and HOT TO GO!
Participants appreciated the chance to get moving.”I haven’t done Zumba in a while, so it definitely felt weird for me, but I was happy to get back into it,” said Musical Theatre major Gabrielle Martin.
The event concluded with a cool-down session set to Back On 74 by Jungle, ensuring students left feeling refreshed and accomplished.
